Pictures!

I put up some new pictures of the house. Nevermind the blue tape and ladder and whatever else. It’ll all be gone by Monday.

Closing!!!!!

It’s about freakin’ time, but closing is this coming Monday! The final inspection is Monday at 10:00 and the closing is afterwards. Went out to the house last night to do a presentation and it looked great. I will have some more pictures up tonight I hope. I’m pretty excited. Now, the only part is packing the apartment over the weekend…ugh. They did a great job on the construction. It will be really cool once it’s painted and all. They painted it, but it’s one of those million shades of white…it’s actually more of a cream color. Anyway, it’s pretty much done.

House Update

I have posted new pictures of the house. There are five additional pictures. Haven’t closed yet, but should this week…thank God. Still fighting with color choices and fabrics and stuff. I hate this. Anyway, things are going well. Some friends of mine just closed on their house and I’ve been helping them paint, rip up the carpet and linoleum, clean, and whatever else. I can’t wait until we start laying hardwood and ceramic tile…ugh. This is what I get for not having a job yet and having too much free time. Stupid unemployment.

Colors, fabrics, and decisions

One of the worst parts about moving into a different living space is having to decide what colors to use and what to paint, how paint, and the window treatments and styles that you want to evoke. What a pain in the ass. I am soooo sick of doing all of this. I have looked at Home Depot’s paint wall many times and have changed my mind just as many. I’m sick of looking at colors, fabrics, etc. Thank God it’s almost done. The closing should be next week.

On the fun side of things, I did go to a Mardi Gras party this past Monday night. The Monday night dinner group has a couple from New Orleans. Oh my God…they are awesome! The house was decked out in yellow, purple, and green. It was a great time. They had decorations all over and some really cool Mardi Gras things scattered around the house. The food was incredible! I wish Mardi Gras was once a month.
